NO more tomorrow.

That’s what’s on the minds of TNT KaTropa and Meralco. The team that loses the deciding Game 3 of their best-of-three quarterfinals series in the 2017 Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup gets an early vacation.

Tied at 1-1, it’s now down to the knockout game for the Tropang Texters and the Bolts as they collide again at 7 p.m. tonight at the Smart Araneta Coliseum to see which takes the last ticket to the semifinals.

Top seed Barangay Ginebra awaits the winner for a best-of-five showdown in the semis.

Over at the other side, San Miguel Beer and Star are all set for their own semis clash. They start their war tomorrow, Saturday at 5 p.m., also at the Big Dome.

After the Tropang Texters’ dominant Game 1 victory, the Bolts bounced back strong in Game 2 to keep their campaign alive and force a decider.

Meralco led as much as 19 points but got a huge scare down the stretch in Game 2 wherein it needed to come through in the clutch to pull off a tough 103-100 escape over TNT KaTropa in overtime.

TNT KaTropa point guard Jayson Castro (17) tries to dribble past Meralco Bolts counterpart Chris Newsome (11). TNT and Meralco clash tonight for the right to advance to the semifinals of the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

Baser Amer continued to come up big, scoring 32 points there to make sure his team will live to fight another day.

As for Amer’s counterpart Jayson Castro, he wasn’t able to replicate his spectacular Game 1.

After scoring 25 points in the opener, Castro was limited to only 12 in Game 2, missing 11 of his 13 shots.

Their teams need superb games from their chief playmakers to have a good shot.

Now, everything else has been thrown out the window with this Game 3 the only thing that matters for both teams.
