“My dream is to take care and help my parents,” he said in an interview on TV Patrol.”

Another beneficiary, RJ, a grade 1 pupil at Orani North Elementary School, is determined to become a doctor. Her mother shared how extremely difficult it is to make both ends meet, especially with her spouse undergoing dialysis in the last five months. The young girl has recycled old notebooks for use this coming school year, and was overjoyed to receive new school supplies.

Schoolchildren like Nadnad and RJ inspire the people behind “Gusto Kong Mag-aral” as they serve as a reminder that there is hope even after tragedy and to never stop dreaming for a better future.
