The father of Maute brothers, who are waging battles with the military in Marawi City, is now detained in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City.
Cayamora Maute arrived in Metro Manila from Davao City past Wednesday midnight.
This information has been confirmed by Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Public Affairs Office Chief Colonel Edgard Arevalo.
The father of Maute brothers Omar and Abdullah has also been subjected to inquest proceedings.
He is facing charges of illegal possession of firearms and explosives.
Cayamora Maute was arrested in a military checkpoint in Davao City on June 6 along with four others.
Martial law Spokesperson for Eastern Mindanao Command Brigadier General Gilbert Gapay says, security arrangements for the elder Maute will be tight inside Camp Bagong Diwa.
This is to foil any rescue mission that the Maute terrorist group and its supporters may stage inside the jail facility.
The military says, Cayamora Maute had been involved in the operations of the terrorist group since the siege in Marawi City started.
