NGCP donates school supplies

BALANGA CITY, Bataan—The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines has donated school supplies to students in an elementary school in this city.

Grades 1 to 3 of Barrio Central Elementary School were given school supplies through the transmission company’s program “Gamit ni Bulilit.”

A total of 170 students each received a bag of school supplies containing 10 composition notebooks, paper and pencil.

“This is big help for us poor parents,” resident Laila Ramos said.

SIMPLE JOYS. A boy can’t hide his delight over a new notebook and school bag given to him by the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines , which donated school supplies to 463 students from Grades 1 to 4 in Bitin Elementary School, Bay, Laguna as part of its ‘Gamit ni Bulilit Project.’ NGCP has distributed school supplies to 140,000 students in more than 400 schools nationwide. Ramil Cubales, school principal, said he is grateful to NGCP for choosing their school to benefit from the company’s “Gamit ni Bulilit” program.

Lida May Lopez, NGCP Head of the Corporate Initiative Division, pointed out education is a priority under their corporate social responsibility outreach program.

“This simple act of kindness from NGCP will somehow lessen the burden of parents in providing school supplies for their children,” Cubales said.
