The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has ordered the closure of 18 branches of clothing alteration shop Paras Alter Station.
This is over allegations that the company has failed to pay taxes worth P 1.7 million.
The period covered by the tax deficiency is supposedly from 2014 to 2015.
Paras’ main branch is located in Bagumbayan, Quezon City and it has seventeen outlets in Las Piñas, Mandaluyong, Cavite, Parañaque and Pampanga.
BIR has given the firm five days to settle its tax liability.
