Non-working day in Davao on March 17

THE Palace has declared March 17 as a special non-working day in Davao City as it marks the celebration of its 80th Araw ng Dabaw.

Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea last Friday signed Proclamation No. 166, declaring the holiday. 

“It is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Davao be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies,” Medialdea said. 

Among the events in the annual celebration will be the Mutya ng Dabaw 2017 and Civic Parade.
