THE Quezon City government announced on Thursday the Second QC Animation and Information Technology Fair in February.

About 5,000 educators and animators are expected to take part in the fair organized by the city government in partnership with the Korea-Philippines Information Technology Training Center.

The event aims to produce creative animation talents for outsourcing competitiveness in the global market. It will feature animation and IT exhibits and galleries, lectures and workshops, virtual reality experiences, and on-the-spot creative contests.

The event is set from Feb. 23 to 25 in the Quezon City Interactive Museum at the Quezon Memorial Circle. Mayor Herbert Bautista will be the keynote speaker.

Reynald Paul Imjada, Quezon City Information and Technology Department Office head, will spearhead the activity.

The event is expected to stimulate career opportunities for the city-based educators, out-of-school-youth, and career shifters to the animation and IT industry to generate a more creative digital economy environment for the city.
