Kapamilya holiday station ID hits 4.8 M views on YouTube

ABS-CBN celebrated Christmas by bringing Filipinos together as one family through “Isang Pamilya Tayo,”  a campaign that includes a Christmas station ID that has since had more than 4.8 million views online, Simbang Gabi in different parts of the country, outreach activities, and a star-studded heartwarming Christmas special.

Every year, Filipinos have always looked forward to the ABS-CBN’s Christmas station ID and last year’s “Isang Pamilya Tayo Ngayong Pasko” song became a hit as it delivered an inspiring message that nothing is impossible in life as long Filipinos are united as one family in love and in faith.

It’s Showtime, meanwhile, kicked off its Christmas celebration and invaded Payatas through its “Hashtarana” segment, where Hashtags Nikko and Luke recognized a model family and gave scholarships to three children.

The Christmas festivities were not limited to Kapamilya fans in Metro Manila as ABS-CBN Regional spread the holiday cheers in Bacolod and Dumaguete through community Zumba activities.

Thousands of Kapamilya fans trooped to Marikina Sports Complex for the ABS-CBN Family Fair where they enjoyed raffle, games and entertainment

Actress Alice Dixson joined the pretty faces gracing new travel show, Happy Life.

With her alluring presence, one might think she was coming in as a host just like the others. But she was featured as a donor, travelling all the way to Bacolod to visit the Kalipay Negrense Foundation, which serves as a haven for abused and abandoned children.

Largely defined for her iconic role as a fairy in the famed TV series Okay Ka Fairy Ko, Alice virtually appeared as one in the eyes of the Oliveros brothers. Responding to the show’s request if she could come and join the team in Bacolod to spend time with orphans as a Christmas treat, she excitedly picked up her traveling bag and was on board without hesitation.

“She quickly organized tables and chairs and Christmas decorations, personally choosing the caterer and food to be served and making sure that she’d give them a Christmas party they wouldn’t forget,” stated in a social media post from Happy Life.

Obviously Alice was the star of Happy Life’s Bacolod episode aired on Christmas Day and concluded on New Year’s Day. It was the fourth episode for the travel show with a heart airing every Sunday, 9:30 a.m. on GMA News TV.

Alice Dixson

Down to earth and honest, Alice quickly pointed out that the real stars are the people whose lives deserved to be touched with generosity and care. She gives in to the show’s request because its purpose is in line with her personal conviction to help people, especially children. It certainly helps she is friends with the person behind Happy Life, former governor Luis Chavit Singson, and its director Eric Quizon whose involvement convinced Alice the show is a real deal.

“I want to make sure that I am buying the correct number and right gifts for the girls and boys of the Kalipay Negrense Foundation,” expressed the ageless and lovely showbiz figure widely known for having appeared in both drama and comedic movies in the past and for popularizing the “I can feel it” expression she famously uttered in a shampoo commercial.

Members of the entertainment media found her presence at a recent Happy Life press conference real cool that she immediately was interviewed by reporters. She was openly discussing her personal life and led everyone to talk about Happy Life as a show different from most travel programs. She’s often heard saying how “giving back” means a lot to her.

Happy Life is a project of White Lion Media Productions, Inc.,  an independent production company that specializes in making movies, television shows, commercials, audio-visual presentations, and viral videos. Through technical excellence and professional delivery, it dares to entertain and make positive impact to viewers by way of socially compassionate projects.)

I Juander kicks off 2017 with a recap of stories that made a mark in the hearts of every Juan.

For almost six years, GMA News TV’s weekly infotainment program has undeniably inspired and touched the lives of the masses, earning the nod of local and international award-giving bodies.

In 2014, Star Awards recognized I Juander as Best Magazine Show with hosts Susan Enriquez and Cesar Apolinario also named Best Magazine Show hosts. Giving the show the recognition was the episode that took a closer look at what makes Juan a Filipino. It also took home the Best Youth-Oriented TV Program award at the UPLB Gandingan Awards for two consecutive years.

In 2015, it received a Silver Screen Award in the Environment/Ecology and Social Issues category from the prestigious U.S. International Film and Video Festival (USIFVF). The winning episode “Hanggang saan nga ba ang kayang gawin ni Juan para sa pag-aaral?” tackled the state of education in the country and attempted to answer the question of how far a Filipino would go to attend school.

I Juander continues to reap awards. Last year, the Catholic Mass Media Awards and Inding-Indie Festival honored the show with Best Magazine Show and Huwarang Programa ng Taon titles, respectively.

Join Susan and Cesar as they look back at these award-winning stories 8 p.m. on GMA News TV tonight.
