PHILIPPINE National Police Director General Ronald dela Rosa has designated a “mistah” to lead the relentless campaign against illegal drugs in Cagayan Valley.
Del Rosa has designated Chief Superintendent Eliseo Rasco as regional police director, who said he will intensify the campaign against illegal drugs in Region 2.
Rasco also assured residents that police operations will be mounted only against those who are really involved in the criminal enterprise.
Dela Rosa and Rasco were classmates or “mistah” in the Philippine Military Academy’s Sinagtala Class of 1986.
“The war on illegal drugs in Cagayan Valley will continue without pause and it will be intensified for while there are illegal drug dealers, pushers and users,” Rasco said during his assumption on Tuesday.
“Mistah, wage a relentless campaign on illegal drugs in your AOR [area of responsibility],” Rasco quoted Dela Rosa as saying when he paid a courtesy call to the national police chief upon being assigned to Region 2.
Rasco replaced Chief Superintendent Gilbert Soza, who now heads the Directorate for Integrated Police Operations for Northern Luzon, a two-star rank position.
Rasco spent most of his career with the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, and is known as a top-notch investigator with vast knowledge and experience as a veteran intelligence officer and an outstanding field operator.
