SAN JOSE, Nueva Ecija—Police arrested over the weekend a municipal employee in Pangasinan and his nephew, who were tagged for stealing a car in this city over four months ago.

Senior Supt. Antonio Yarra, the new provincial police director, identified the suspects as Petrocinio Toralba, 40, a municipal employee of Binalonan, Pangasinan, and Christian Toralba, 21, of Sumabnit, Binalonan.

The suspects yielded a golden yellow car with license plate WLG-580, an unlicensed caliber .45 revolver and live bullets.

SPO1 Joel Beltejar, San Jose police investigator, said the car was stolen on September 10. The vehicle, owned by Noel Tallara, was spotted by an informant along Barangay Rueda here, and was intercepted along Bonifacio St.

Beltejar said the Toralbas were charged with carnapping and illegal possession of firearms.
