MAKATI Mayor Abigail Binay on Thursday said she will file a case against a purportedly bipolar woman who wildly drove her yellow car, hitting people and vehicles at Rockwell Center Friday last week.
Binay said she ordered the Makati City Police to submit a full report on the case so that the City Legal Department can prepare appropriate charges to be filed before the City Prosecutor’s Office.
The woman—Jamie Camille Lee Brojan, 28, a resident of San Juan City—surrendered to the police after over an hour of recklessly driving to evade her pursuers, leaving several damaged vehicles and properties in her wake. Some security guards in pursuit were also injured during the chase.
Binay said the case should not be treated lightly as it involved serious offenses that not only damaged government property, but also endangered the lives of pedestrians and motorists along the route taken by the driver.
