THE Unilab Foundation will hold the third leg of its Health Science on the Go Traveling Science Centrum in Isabela State University-Cauayan Campus from August 8 to September 9 to “address the country’s health literacy gap.”

The Philippines listed a low health literacy rate in 2014, a case reflected in the country’s top causes of death that are mostly due to unhealthy lifestyle, according the Philippine College of Physicians report.

HSOTG is an educational platform that informs students on health sciences in a “meaningful and fun” approach and gears to “develop a generation that is more equipped to live healthy lifestyles,” Unilab said in a statement.

“Kids these days are lucky that they can learn about science through an interactive experience,” said Rhodora Palomar-Fresnedi, executive director of the Unilab Foundation.
