Mangkabung said the PSHS offers “a secondary course which stresses subjects in sciences to prepare Top 10 elementary school graduates with a rating of 85 percent for a science career.” Its entrance test is set for Oct. 22, 2016.

She explained that JLSSP exam is for deserving third-year college students enrolled in DoST priority courses, like engineering, basic and applied sciences who are willing to teach in public high schools after graduation.

The program seeks to strengthen the science and technology education “by helping qualified students to finish their degree and encouraging them to impart their knowledge on science, math and engineering through teaching.”

Mangkabung said ASTHRDP   provides scholarships to college graduates who want to pursue Master’s or Doctorate degree “to boost global competitiveness for S&T researchers and produce top-level human resources” in, among others, Agriculture, Biological Sciences, Applied Mathematics/Physics, and Environmental Sciences.
