ORMOC CITY—Seventeen police commissioned officers in Region 8 (PRO8) were promoted Monday morning in simple ceremonies at the PRO8 Grandstand of Camp Ruperto K. Kangleon in Palo, Leyte.
The Ormoc City Police Office announced the promotion of Police Senior Insp. Sherylle Conejo, who heads the Women and Childrens’ Protection Branch and for a time was OCPO administration officer.
The rest of the promoted officers belonged to the Regional Public Safety Battalion 8.
The OCPO said the promotion comes with greater responsibility and higher expectations from their subordinates and peers.
Meanwhile, police personnel were also cited for operational accomplishments particularly successful buy-bust operations, like in Sogod, Southern Leyte; in Catarman, Northern Samar; in Tacloban City and in Ormoc.
