For actress Jennylyn Mercado, when confidence starts from the inside, everything else will follow through. 

The statement could very well apply to many things, even in fashion. And the multi-awarded actress, athlete and mother is talking about being confident and comfortable in the garments a woman wears inside, especially while she’s taking on many roles in different facets of her life.

“Being in the spotlight means I have to be 100 percent confident in myself so I need intimate apparel that has the perfect fit every time,” says Jennylyn. 

The Avon Intimates brand ambassador together with Avon Missy endorser Yassi Pressman and empowered Filipinas Patty Laurel and Nicole Andersson are different women who all value the importance of wearing brassieres with the right fit. 

Understanding that all Filipinas deserve to be confident and comfortable inside, Avon launched its new collection featuring perfect fitting bras specially created for the Filipina body type.

“The concept that we want to emphasize is ‘Love at first fit’ because we at Avon Fashions have always prided ourselves in being able to offer women intimate apparel that provides them the perfect fit,” says Avon Philippines head for PR and Communications Faith Fernandez-Mondejar.

The new collection is composed of a mix of popular animal and floral prints and styles suitable for different body types and clothing requirements. 

Underwire brassieres offer support for ladies with fuller curves while non-wire bras are made using fun prints and vibrant colors perfect for teens who are just starting to wear their first pair.

Yassi has practically grown up with Avon, having been a model at the age of nine for the company and later on becoming (and remaining) the face of Avon Missy line for teens. From the first day she wore her first pair of brassieres until now, she considers the fit a very important factor. 

“When I’m dancing and doing cartwheels, I really need to be comfortable and covered,” asserts Yassi. 

Comfort and security considered, Yassi also proclaims her love for the fun prints of Avon intimate apparel, so much so that it is fine for her to expose a bit of the bra that she’s wearing. “The prints are really fun and are a far cry from your usual blacks and beiges,” she enthuses

Avon also emphasized its mission to help women feel beautifully confident whatever role she plays with the launch of its new brassieres. 

“What we really want to leverage on this campaign [Love at first fit] is not just the design but how it fits the Filipino women,” concludes Fernandez-Mondejar.
