Daryl Ong, a talented and promising singer now dubbed as the “RNB Heartthrob” is very vocal about his humble beginnings.
He used to be a “Demo Singer” and a backing singer of a famous local artist. Daryl’s first major achievement was winning second place for his interpretation of “Torpe” in the PhilPop 2014 competition. It was followed with a People’s Choice Award for “Hangga’t May Tinig Ako” in A Song of Praise Music Festival.
After making a mark during his stint and as one of the top contenders under Team Apl of The Voice of the Philippines Season 2, finishing as one of the semi-finalists, Daryl shared his voice and story through his self-titled album released by Star Music.
With the success of his Thankful concert last year iat Music Museum, he will start the year 2016 with another concert entitled INTIMATE. It is the most awaited Valentine Event at Teatrino in Promenade Greenhills, 8 p.m. on Feb. 13.
Produced by Aqueous Events and Star Image, headed by young producers in the Philippine Music Industry, Vince Abasolo and David Cabawatan, the tandem that brought to the concert arena the sold-out Darren Espanto’s Total Performance concert series.
Daryl will be performing with the most promising boy band Upgrade. The group has an album out in the market now, their very first album under the distribution of Star Music. Other guests will also share center stage.
