5 steps to a fresh start with Security Bank

Whenever a new year comes around, most look forward to it with a positive conviction and an opportunity for a fresh start. But 2020 had different plans for the world. Events and vacations were cancelled, routines and roles shifted, and mindsets turned inward as we reflected on our faith and resilience.

As we all slowed down, many regrets also surfaced. We started thinking about decisions and risks that we should have taken in the past. And how frustrating it was to be unable to move on any of these, as we were locked down and confined in our safe little bubbles.

Now that a new year has finally come, many are ready to begin anew. With all the adjustments its customers had to go through last year, Security Bank has adapted to help people rebuild their lives again.

1. Bank better by banking safer. That is why Security Bank made digital banking the driver of its transactions last year. InstaPay is a cashless and contactless mode of payment that has been made available in the Security Bank mobile app since 2020.

“We’ve seen how useful and convenient InstaPay is to our clients over the pandemic. Likewise, we support BSP’s call for digitalization and usage of online banking, which is in line with our goal to let our clients thrive at home,” said Maki Tingson, Security Bank’s Retail Banking Segment Head, as the Bank extended their waived InstaPay transfer fees for retail clients, until April 20, 2021.

2. Prepare for the future. No matter what life stage you find yourself to be in, Security Bank has a multitude of accounts to choose from depending on its client’s goals and lifestyle. Choose between Easy Savings designed for everyone’s basic banking needs or the All- Access Checking, an all-in-one account that comes with a free Life Insurance Coverage.

3. Realize your goals sooner than later. Whether it’s finally going on a long-awaited trip, a marriage proposal or a down payment for your first car or home, Security Bank’s Secure Goals Plus is a high-interest account that allows its clients to force save a fixed amount monthly to help them reach any dream faster.

Setting is up is easy and fast, too. Account holders can apply for it online which comes with a user-friendly calculator that helps compute how much needs to be placed aside per month, making monthly budgeting for this easy.

4. Grow by expanding what you know. With Security Bank’s involvement in GoNegosyo Mentorship Sessions on Facebook, aspiring business people can learn how to build their start-ups.

In one episode, “Financing Opportunities for MSMEs”, Security Bank’s Assistant Vice President Maricel dela Cerna discussed what are secured and unsecured loans, giving viewers a better understanding on what kind of loans are needed to start an enterprise.

5. Bank on the go. Banking need not be long lines and long waits. Security Bank is also making banking even more accessible with the launch of its BetterBanking on the Go last January 25, 2021. It is a mobile banking service that also comes as ATMs, iPads and interactive screens in various mobile branches, allowing clients to do their basic banking transactions on the go.

If any of your plans have been on hold from the past year, regret no more. Security Bank will help us reach our goals.
