Global tech innovator Lenovo was recently cited by market intelligence firm IDC as the number one PC monitor brand in the Philippines. It emerged on top during the third quarter of 2020 with 66,082 shipments, equivalent to 22% of the total PC monitor market share locally.

Lenovo’s strong performance in the period saw its share in the market grow by 6% from the previous quarter where it made 26,882 shipments. This development also showed a Year-over-Year (YOY) growth of 8%, signifying a highly successful year for the company’s ever-expanding PC monitor portfolio.

The company owes its success to the many innovations it made to better serve customers facing the “new normal” brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. “Our success in the PC monitor segment solidifies our drive for constant innovation in our products as we strive to deliver smarter technology for all. This time, we heavily focused on improving the ability of our PC monitors in extending the productivity of our customers in the comfort of their own homes by including cutting-edge technology known in Lenovo devices. We made our screens bigger, more color accurate, portable, and in the case of gamers, come out with more resolution and high refresh rates for complete immersion. Our monitors also include added connectivity and viewing options to unlock new opportunities whether for work, online school, entertainment, or gaming,” said Michael Ngan, Lenovo Philippines President and General Manager.

Under its arsenal of product offerings, Lenovo currently has a total of seven PC monitor lines available catering to different types of users and segments: ThinkVision – Employees; ThinkVision M – Mobile workforce; Q Series – Content creators; Y/Legion Series – Hardcore gamers; G Series – Mainstream gamers; L Series – Monitors for mainstream or everyday use; D Series – Value-for-money monitors

Lenovo’s entire PC monitor lineup contains many features useful in any setting. Some of them include color-accurate display panels with 99% sRGB and 72% NTSC or higher for better color accuracy, thin bezels for larger screen viewing, and high refresh rates for smoother visuals in action-packed movies and fast-paced games. To protect the user’s eyes, Lenovo made its monitors TÜV Rheinland Eye Comfort-certified to reduce the harmful effects of blue light. Lenovo’s monitors also have both VGA and HDMI ports, and their VESA mount compatibility adds more freedom upon use.
