With two new sustainably-designed Aspire Vero laptops that come with the latest 12th Gen Intel Core processors, 14- and 15-inch Full HD displays and appealing new color options and other new products, Taiwanese ICT giant Acer has just announced an expansion in its eco-friendly Vero portfolio.
Other newly announced products in the line are the Veriton Vero all-in-one (AIO) desktop for businesses features a 24-inch Full HD IPS display, and a thin-bezel design delivering an 88% screen-to-body ratio and the 23.8-inch and 27-inch Vero monitors feature IPS panels and an eco-friendly design.
The Vero mouse and keyboard with almost-silent keys reduce noise from typing and mouse clicks while the Vero PD2325W projector delivers clear and precise presentations with a high 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio and broad 125% Rec. 709 wide color gamut.
All products use a percentage of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic and recyclable packaging.
“All of Acer’s 45 global regions, including China, and its 7,500 employees are participating in environmental protection activities,” Tiffany Huang, Acer Co-COO and President of Corporate Marketing, Business, and Planning Operations. “We hope our employees and stakeholders will listen and also make the commitment to sustainability.”
In 2021, the Acer Group announced that it has joined the RE100 initiative and also shared a pledge to achieve 100% renewable energy use by the year 2035. In addition, Acer declared its mission to help tackle environmental challenges with its “Earthion” platform that unites the strengths of its employees and supply chain partners, and expands the circle of impact of its sustainability efforts. These strengths and efforts are exemplified by Aspire Vero notebook, its first sustainability-focused product under the Earthion platform.
“We also have a video saying, ‘we go together, we get stronger’ so we also welcome different projects to improve even today,” said Huang.
In a year since Acer launched its sustainability efforts, the Vero has been recognized by consumers and the Vero laptop even earned a 2021 Red Dot Award for Brand & Communication Design in the “Packaging Design” category
