Globe At Home topped the Philippine Internet Service Providers (ISPs) performance rating of streaming service Netflix for the second straight month this year, showing its consistency in providing fast and reliable internet service to Filipino families. This is the 10th month that Globe At Home topped the Netflix ISP Speed Index since 2021.

Experience the best in Netflix streaming with Globe At Home

Netflix recently released its February 2022 ISP Speed Index for the Philippines.  The index ranks ISPs based on the best viewing experience during peak hours.

Globe’s score was at par with other countries experiencing world-class speeds on Netflix.  Among them are Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Israel, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, Paraguay, and Spain.

The speed index is important to Netflix as videos load quickly on networks with low latency, packet loss, and jitter. Globe At Home is indeed redefining the fiber experience in Filipino homes with GFiber Unli. The all-new Globe fiber plans come with WiFi speeds faster than previous plans for streaming-strong popular Netflix shows like Bridgerton Season 2, which premieres on March 25.

Globe At Home is proud to support Netflix in the launch of Bridgerton Season 2 this month. Being the preferred partner for this event, Globe At Home treated the guests with fast and reliable WiFi experience at Netflix’s Villa Bridgerton.

“Globe continues to focus on network upgrades and expansion to ensure that our customers can enjoy fast and reliable connectivity whether for entertainment, work, learning, or leisure at home. Our consistent performance in Netflix ISP Speed Index shows that we are on the right track,” said Barbie Dapul, Globe At Home VP for Marketing.

In 2021, Globe built 1,407 new cell towers, upgraded over 22,300 mobile sites, and installed more than 2,000 5G outdoor sites and in-building solutions. It aims to further boost internet quality and coverage in the country this year.

The company has earmarked P89 billion for 2022 to build new cell sites, upgrade existing sites to 4G/LTE, accelerate the rollout of 5G connectivity, and fast-track the fiberization of Filipino homes nationwide.

Globe strongly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly UN SDG No. 9, which highlights the roles of infrastructure and innovation as crucial drivers of economic growth and development. Globe is committed to upholding the UN Global Compact principles and contributing to 10 UN SDGs.
