Filipinos living and working in Canada would have to wait until 2017 before they can enjoy again the distinct taste of home-grown Jollibee.
This is because the fast-food giant is having a hard time trying to find a good location for the first store in Canada.
“We are having difficulty in finding a good location,” Jollibee president Ernest Tanmantiong said, during the company’s annual stockholders meeting on Friday.
“We are particular about the location and it is not easy to find a good location. We don’t want to settle for an average location,” he said.
Jollibee announced in March it would open its first store in Canada this year, particularly in Toronto.
This generated a lot of cheers among Filipinos in Canada, who have been longing for the taste of Jollibee’s best selling chicken joy and spaghetti.
