Pacquiao life story featured in game app

Eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao is hoping that his life story will serve as an inspiration to millions of Filipinos.

Pacquiao said this following the upcoming release of a video game called Fighting Pride: The Manny Pacquiao Saga!

“I’m excited to show my life story in this mobile game,” said Pacquiao in a recent statement on Zoom during a round table discussion with its developers last week.

The game, which adapts a 2.5-D format, is beat-‘em-up sports-adventure game features a thrilling, action-packed, and addictive adaptation of  Pacquiao’s life story.

It will be available and will be free to download on mobile platforms in early 2021.

OMG President Mike Ochosa, one of the game’s co-developers, said idea started way back in 2017 when Pacquiao was set to fight Jeff Horn in Brisbane, Australia.

Back then, he was able to pitch his idea to Pacquiao, who eventually agreed.

“That’s when I sought Manny out to present the idea,” said Ochosa.

In playing the game, players join Manny Pacquiao on his life’s journey.

It starts with his humble beginnings as a young boy in the streets of his hometown, General Santos.

From there, the game tackles his career as a seasoned world champion fighting opponents in arenas around the world.
