Kalaro to cater to 43M Esports PH enthusiasts

Developing a platform at the grassroots level has gotten better.

This is what the virtual community Kalaro promises to be.

Founder and CEO Jun Lasco said this during its virtual launch last Oct. 12.

The first fully-integrated and end-to-end gaming and social networking web-app, which recently went live, will help gamers find their support group, sponsors and fans.

“This is really for them. The big players, the big names in the industry, they have their sponsors, they have their followers, they have their fans, they know how to compete internationally. But, the majority and that’s 95%, there’s no visibility and no opportunity for them to be discovered, and go up to the next level,” said Lasco.

Lasco is the Kalaro software architect and Founder of The-AsiaGroup.com Inc./ Pnex Int’l Corporation.

Kalaro is made by an original team of 4 Filipino tech experts and business leaders with more than 85 years of combined experience.

And the platform has tournament management and corporate brand sponsorship features to cater to more than 43 million Esports enthusiasts and companies in the Philippines.

“That’s our advocacy, we want to enable and build capability in the country,” added Lasco, who believes that Kalaro can address the needs of the e-gamers in the provinces.

Kalaro will serve as a virtual community for Esports players, coaches, teams, influencers, team owners, leagues, and Esports fans.

With Kalaro, members can meet other gamers, discuss the latest trends in gaming, get updates about the upcoming events/ tournaments, watch their favorite “shoutcasters” in live streams, and interact with them in real-time.

“The problem in the Philippines is that there are more than 7,000 islands, and they (gamers) are scattered,” added Lasco.

Lasco explains that this is where Kalaro comes in as it aims to hone the skills of Filipino Esports athletes.

And this will help prepare gamers to compete in local and international arenas.

“Before, there’s no central location, physical or virtual that can bring all of the talents together,” he said.

With Kalaro, the developers believe that they have created a platform that can connect and collect at the talents across the country together.
