Eduard Folayang turns 36 next month, but he is not about to retire yet after Australian fighter Antonio Caruso beat him last Friday.

“I need to assess myself and be back in the circle again,” said Folayang on Zoom after recovering from a head injury.

Caruso took control of the first two rounds, and kept Folayang off until round 3 to win their lightweight encounter in the One: Inside the Matrix at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

The fight was stopped briefly near the end of the round as the two fighters accidentally hit their heads, and this sent Folayang to the ground.

Folayang said he needs to review his techniques and see what went wrong.

“I really going to check some small details on my fight,” said Folayang.

So, Folayang lost four of his last five fights, to drop to 22-10 overall.

Caruso took the lead on points after he tried to stop Folayang with a choke, which the Filipino quickly escaped from.

Folayang endured a right hook early into the second round, but this Caruso control after the second round.

The Australian improved his fight record to 8-1.
