PCSO Silver Cup, PSA race set Sunday at San Lazaro Park

Racing fans are in for a treat this coming Sunday as the San Lazaro Business and Leisure Park plays host to the 2021 edition of  the Philippine Racing Commission-Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office sponsored Silver Cup which carries with it a total purse of P4 million and the Philippine Sportswriters Association Cup.

Expected to spearhead the charge for the 1750-meter distance and the P2.4-million top prize will be 2021 Philracom Chairman’s Cup winner Boss Emong (Dance City out of Chica Una) from the Edward Vincent Diokno stable which will be challenged by 2021 Commissioners’ Cup champ Super Swerte (Art Moderne out of Faster Tapper) owned by Leonardo “Sandy” Javier Jr.

Also in the fold will be 2020 Presidential Gold Cup winner Pangalusian Island of Wilbert Tan (Chancellor/Dimples), back-to-back Sampaguita Stakes winner Princess Eowyn (Keep Laughing/Dona Carmela).

Not to be discounted are the comebacking 2017 Presidential Gold Cup Dewey Boulevard, 2019 Juvenile champion Union Bell, recent Hopeful Stakes winners Gusto Mucho and King Tiger, 2019 Philracom Cup champ Wonderland, 2018 Philracom Cup winner Great Wall and Sprint winner Son Also Rises.

The 2nd Leg of the Juvenile Stakes series will also be on tap with 1st Leg winner Gomezian (Sakima out of Hot Yoga) expected to come out as top favorite.

The Philracom-sponsored PSA Cup rounds up the three major events of the day.  Expected to get the bettors’ fancy in the event is recent PCSO 3yo Maiden Stakes winner Mommy Caring(Striding Ahead out of On A Mission).
