This August, Red Bull DIY has started to work with skateboarding communities across the country—supporting the development of their dream skate spots and giving a platform to showcase their talents and DIY creativity.

Seventeen skate shops and crews were selected from various cities across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao from the many entries submitted. These selected teams were provided with initial resources to begin construction on setups based on their entries.

The Top 5 teams were chosen by Margielyn Didal, with the final placements ranked by 2017 Thrasher Magazine Skater of the Year, Jamie Foy.

1st Place: Regfy Skate Shop from Mandaue, Visayas

2nd Place: Taga Baler SC from Baler, Luzon

Up next, Red Bull DIY will be launching their “Solo Competition” – open to all skaters in order to further support the DIY skate spots developed nationwide.

“Iniimbitahan ko lahat ng skaters na mag register sa darating na Red Bull DIY Solo Competition ngayong Oktubre. Stay tuned on my social media accounts for more updates,” says Margielyn Didal. “Excited to see all your videos!”
