Kiefer Ravena and his family are doing their share to help the frontliners who are involved in the ongoing effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

On Thursday, Kiefer and members of his family joined in distributing packed meals of roast chicken, rice and side salad to soldiers and police officers who were deployed at checkpoints in Cainta, Rizal.

The 26-year-old point guard of the NLEX Road Warriors said it was their family’s way of supporting the troops and the cops who have been working long hours over the past few days.

“We’re proud that our local government headed by Mayor Kit Nieto has been doing a great job in alerting and letting the people of Cainta know what we have to do,” said Ravena, who are teammates of the mayor’s nephews, Mike and Matt.

Mike and Matt, along with Kiefer, played with the Ateneo Blue Eagles in high school and in college.

Ravena stressed the importance of helping the frontliners and appreciating the sacrifices that they are doing.

“Important din na makatulong tayo sa mga frontliners ng COVID-19 kasi sila yung talagang nagsa sacrifice ng health nila para sa health ng buong bansa. Kaya sobrang na-appreciate namin ng family ko yung mga ginagawa nila,” added Ravena.

His father Bong and mother Mozzy were also around, along with brother Thirdy, sister Dani, girlfriend Alyssa Valdez, and friend Aldrin Ignacio, were part of the preparations and of the packing the meals.

Kiefer also thanked Bountyfresh Agro Ventures, Inc. president Ronald Mascariñas for his help in making their activity possible. Peter Atencio
