The lucky recipients selected by a panel of judges from different sectors and the academe will be awarded with a beautiful handcrafted glass, plus cash from PSC to be awarded by Oversight Women in Sports chairperson, commissioner Dr. Celia Kiram in the presence of chairman William Ramirez.

The eight categories at stake are Ina ng Isport; Babaeng Atleta, Modelo ng Kabataan; Babaeng Atleta, Modelo ng Kabataan (PWD); Babaeng Tagasanay ng Isport; Babaeng Lider ng Isport sa Kumonidad; Kaagapay ng Isport sa Kumonidad; Natatangi at Makabagong Produktong Pang- Isport; at Proyektong Isport Pang Kababaihan.

A nominator can only submit one nominee per category. Authorized nominators are Provincial, City and Municipal Government Units.

Private entities and individuals are enjoined to suggest nominees and coordinate with their respective LGUs. A nominee may have multiple nominators.

The PSC has the right to refuse an entry, or disqualify a nominee who fails to follow GIGA rules.

A nominee must be 21 years old and below as of December 31, 2022 and have never been an athlete under the PSC-subsidized national pool, with no derogatory records in school and the community.

In the case of Babaeng Atleta Modelo ng Kabataan (Para Athlete), a nominee must have been never under the PSC and Philaspada, nor received allowance from the sports body as member of the national pool.

Last year, eight awardees from Rizal, Aklan, Albay, Pangasinan, Isabela, Iloilo, Davao and Cavite were given the award held at the ground floor of PSC building.

Gov. Amado Espino III was nominated by the Provincial Government of Pangasinan because of his contributions to the advancement of grassroots sports in his province. He had more than 7,000 male and female athletes and coaches under his care.

Espino played major part in the establishment of Pangasinan Sports Academy in the capital city Lingayen.
