Apex Fuel-San Sebastian shoots for its fourth win in a row when it battles Centro Escolar University on Tuesday in the 2022 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Arguably the hottest team in the league today, the Golden Stags are aiming to book a playoff spot with a win over the Scorpions (2-2) at 3 p.m.

But coach Egay Macaraya isn’t one to feel overconfident as he continuously demands excellence from his crew.

“Importante para sa amin to step up together on the defensive end sa mga susunod naming laro,” he said after Apex Fuel-San Sebastian’s 73-51 rout of EcoOil-La Salle on Thursday.

Marinerong Pilipino (3-1) is also seeking to secure a playoff spot when it faces the hardluck AMA Online (0-4) squad in the 11 a.m. matinee.

But the Skippers will have to do that without Jollo Go, who was called up by Blackwater in time for the PBA Philippine Cup quarterfinals.

“Mabigat ‘yung kawalan ni Jollo sa amin, pero kailangan lang naming ibigay ‘yung best effort palagi,” said coach Yong Garcia.

Wangs Basketball @26-Letran (3-0) also returns from a rare 11-day break when it battles EcoOil-La Salle (2-2) at 1 p.m. to complete the Tuesday triple-header.
