After two frustrating years, TNT KaTropa is headed to the finals once again.

TNT Tropang Texters ready for any finals’ foe
Ginebra’s Justin Brownlee drives to the basket against TNT’s Terrence Jones in a PBA semifinal game won by the Texters, 103-92.

The Tropang Texters showed why they are the conference’s top-performing team thus far after they dispatched defending champion Barangay Ginebra, 3-1, in their best-of-five semifinals showdown in the 2019 Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup Thursday night.

Showcasing why it is the top-seeded team, TNT handled Ginebra convincingly in their semis clash as it did not allow the series to go the distance.

At their best, the Tropang Texters eliminated the Gin Kings in Game 4 Thursday night, 103-92, to move forward to the big stage.

“Off to the next round. We have to be ready for the finals’ now. If we don’t go all the way, these will all be nothing,” said TNT coach Bong Ravena. “No time to celebrate yet.”

The Tropang Texters will face either San Miguel Beer or Rain or Shine in the finals.

The Beermen, leading their series, 2-1, are also looking to clinch a berth in the finals as of this report, while the Elasto Painters aim on forcing a rubber match as they are locked in a tough Game 4 battle.

Currently awaiting who they will face in the best-of-seven titular series, TNT active consultant Mark Dickel knows that either team can be a headache.

“Obviously, both teams present problems. That’s something we have to prepare for,” said Dickel.

“San Miguel Beer is a very deep team with all the talent is has, while Rain or Shine is a grind out, defensive team like us so either way, it will be challenging.”

For now, TNT is looking forward to get some rest and wait who it will face in the finale.
