It was the 32-year-old Cray’s third gold medal this month after action ended at the Jax Track oval at the Hodges Stadium, Jacksonville, Florida.

Cray was ahead of Nigerian Rilwan Alonwole (50.98) and Jordin Andrade of Cape Verde in 51.72 seconds.

Last May 1, Cray took the gold medal in topping the men’s 400-meter hurdles in 50.84 seconds during  the Corky/Crofoot Shootout Athletics Meet at the Texas Tech University’s Terry and Linda Fuller Track and Field Complex in Lubbock, Texas.

On May 14, Cray clocked 50.77 seconds for the gold at the APU Last Chance meet in Azusa, California.

The last time Cray clocked his fastest time was back in 2019 during the Southeast Asian Games, when he took the gold medal in 50.21 seconds.

Meanwhile, Kristina Knott finished 15th in the women’s 100-meter heats after submitting a time of  11.5 seconds.

The time is not one of Knott’s best, considering that she had 11.28 seconds last April during the LSU Alumni Gold Race in Baton Rouge.

In women’s pole vault, Natalie Uy cleared 4.2 meters for share of third place with Jill Marols.

Marissa Kalsey’s 4.3-meter effort earned her the gold, with Chloe Cunliffe settling for second at 4.3 meters.
