Learning the finer things of playing 3×3 basketball is something that former University of the East star Alvin Pasaol treasured when Stefan Stojacic held a camp in the Philippines two weeks ago.

From Stojacic, Pasaol discovered that he needed more endurance when going up against taller and heftier players from Europe.

“Malaking tulong, nandito siya para makita namin talaga ang larong 3×3. At para maiba ang laro ng 3×3 sa Pilipinas,” said Pasaol.

Stojacic held a camp for selected players at Ronac Basketball center in Kalentong, Mandaluyong, and with the help of Chooks To Go Philippines.

The 6’4” Stojacic was one of four players who helped Serbia rule the Fiba 3×3 World Cup for the third straight time last year when the Philippines hosted the tournament.

Pasaol is among the players who are part of the national team which will see action in the 2020 FIBA 3X3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament this March in Delhi, India.

“They are really good players. They are really quality players, and they have individual skills, said Stojacic in describing the players who came at the camp, and before he left the country to go home to spend Christmas.

Stojacic added that he took a break from his other commitment, which was to help get the Chinese national team in shape of the Olympics as well.

Stojacic is best remembered when Serbia edged Netherlands, 16-13, in the men’s final last year at Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.

The top-ranked Serbians were also made up of Dejan Majstorovic, Marko Savic, Dusan Bulut.

They went undefeated in the tournament as they swept their way to the championship.
