Striegl outduels Matthews at UA Test of Will challenge

One Championship fighter Mark Striegl and AJ Matthews of Bellator engaged in a one-on-one duel in the Under Armour Test of Will held at the Greenbelt 3 in Makati on Saturday.

Mark Striegl defeated a taller, heavier foe in AJ Matthews in a showdown watched by a big mob at the Greenbelt 3 in Makati City.

It was not a Mixed Martial Arts fight. It was a test of endurance and physical conditioning in the Under Armour Test of Will with Striegl scoring 119 reps against 101 of Matthews, dubbed the Filipino Punisher in Bellator.

Along with other participants, the two international MMA stars competed in different challenges like the four-minute circuit consisting of Burpees, One Arm Thruster, TRX Rows and Sandbag Throw.† Each competitor were scored based on the maximum number of repetitions achieved within 60 seconds. 

The Test of Will challenge was on its second year and the top Philippine scorers will battle in a six-country challenge against bets from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Brunei.

The highest scoring man and woman of the national heats from each respective country will win an all-expense paid trip to compete in the regional finals, happening in Kuala Lumpur on May 6.

This yearís overall champion of the regional finals will walk away with S$2,500 cash prize, or around Php 88,000.00.
