Buoyed by a gutsy win the last time out, Bicol seeks a second straight win and the early solo lead when it clashes with home team Batang Kankaloo-Caloocan today in the Pilipinas Super League Pro Division Second Conference Dumper Cup at the Caloocan Sports Complex.

Game time is 8 p.m., with the Spicy Oragon on a high, having scored a 73-72 squeaker over Nueva Ecija last Thursday.

The Koolers absorbed an 87-95 loss to Manila also last Thursday in the tourney presented by Dumper party-list, Winzer, and Converge and supported by Wcube Solutions Inc., MDC, Unisol, Don Benitos, and Finn Cotton, with PBA and Gilas Pilipinas great Marc Pingris serving as Commissioner.

Koponang Lakan ng Bulacan makes its debut against the Slashers in the first game at 6 p.m.

Alwin Alday, Lester Reyes, and Mario Bonleon are expected to carry the fight for Bicol.

Batang Kankaloo-Caloocan will pin its hopes on former PBA big man Gabby Espinas, Dahrell Caranguian, and Paul Sanga as it tries to crash the winner’s circle.

Ditto with Nueva Ecija, which will be led by Jeric Nacpil and Edzel Mag-Isa.

Former PBA players Leo Najorda and Jason Ballesteros and RJ Ramirez will spearhead Koponang Lakan ng Bulacan’s charge.

The tournament format is a single-round eliminations, with the top four teams gaining twice-to-beat incentives in the quarterfinals. The crossover semifinals will be best-of-three duels.

The finals will be a race-to-two battle.
