Lester Prosper scored seven of his game-high 50 points in the extra period, pushing the Terrafirma Dyip to their first win after 25 straight losses dating back to the past conferences in a resounding 124-114 overtime swamping of the NLEX Road Warriors on Friday in the 2022-23 Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Dyip capitalized on four missed baskets by the Warriors to move away on an 8-0 run, with Alex Cabagnot and Prosper shattering a 112-all deadlock with two triples.

Then, Prosper’s two charities in the last 2:47 allowed the Dyip to erect a 120-112 edge.

“We’re happy for this win. NLEX has been struggling. I told the players to take advantage of this,” said Dyip coach Johnedel Cardel.

It was also a career-high output for Prosper as the Dyip claimed their first win in the conference after 10 games.

“We had a good practice. For the past week, everyone has come together,” said Prosper.

Don Trollano finished with 26 points for NLEX, which dropped to 3-7 in the standings.

Earl Clark shot 45 points, to go with 18 rebounds for the Road Warriors, with his driving layup in the last 31 seconds forcing the overtime, 110-all.
