Marinerong Pilipino looks to bounce back in the 2022 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup when it takes on Adalem Construction-St. Clare Tuesday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The Skippers are intent to bounce back after crashing back to earth on the heels of their 70-64 defeat to Wangs Basketball @26-Letran last Friday and surely, the boys of coach Yong Garcia are aching to rebound from that defeat.

“Masakit ‘yung pagkatalo para sa amin, pero lesson sa amin ‘yun na sa simula pa lang, di kami dapat magpalubog ng malaki,” said the soft-spoken mentor.

It spoiled Jollo Go’s 20-point game where he drained five triples to lead Marinerong Pilipino’s late charge.

Juan Gomez de Liano and Kemark Carino are also expected to have big parts for the Skippers in the 3 p.m. game.

But awaiting them is a Saints’ team, which will have Joshua Fontanilla reinforcing the already feisty unit bannered by Johnsherick Estrada, John Rojas, and Senegalese center Babacar Ndong.

“Expect ko ‘yung full lineup namin sa game na ‘yun kasi importante para sa amin ‘yan kung gusto namin makaabot sa top four,” said Adalem-St. Clare coach Jinino Manansala as his side stakes its two-game win streak after an 84-50 blowout of AMA last Thursday.

Builders Warehouse-UST (0-2) and Centro Escolar University (1-2) will both aim to break their respective two-game skids when they face off at 11 a.m., followed by Apex Fuel-San Sebastian (1-1) gunning for back-to-back wins against AMA Online (0-3) at 1 p.m.
