Get your gears ready as Cebuana Lhuillier is all set to kickstart its tennis tournaments this summer.

Jean Henri Lhuillier

Fourteen junior age-group tournaments nationwide have been initially lined up for the second and third quarters.

The first leg is scheduled on April 6 to 10, at the Santa Rosa Complex in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna.

The company also renamed its tennis program to Cebuana Lhuillier Tennis Tour, which also organizes tournaments for professionals and legends.

In addition, Cebuana Lhuillier Tennis Tour will now migrate to the tournament platform of Universal Tennis, the company behind Universal Tennis Rating, a global rating system that promotes fair and competitive play across the tennis world.

“I am elated that we are now able to hold tennis tournaments once again, which is a core part of our program to support the establishment of grassroots tennis development in the country. Rest assured that we remain committed to hone local talents and discover promising young players that, when given the right training and exposure, can represent our country in the international stage,” said Jean Henri Lhuillier, Cebuana Lhuillier president and CEO.

After the Sta. Rosa leg, the Cebuana Lhuillier Tennis Tour moves to other destinations nationwide, including Negros Oriental, Bulacan, Leyte, Bohol, Zamboanga, La Union, Metro Manila, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Iloilo, Negros Occidental, and Cebu City.

The tour is sanctioned by Unified Tennis Philippines.

Only fully-vaccinated individuals are eligible to participate in the program, which will enforce minimum health and safety protocols.
