ADJUSTMENT is the name of the game for the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers, who are eyeing to regain a piece of the lead when they take on the inconsistent National UniveRsity in the main game of  the UAAP men’s basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena.

“‘Yung mga teams nakapag-adjust na sa amin. Kailangan mag-double effort kami this second round,” said UST coach Bong Dela Cruz.

The Tigers and the defending champion Bulldogs go at it at 4 p.m., right after the tiff between Ateneo Blue Eagles and the Adamson University Soaring Falcons at 2 p.m., with the Espana-based dribblers installed as the slight favorites following a come-from-behind 81-78 win over the De La Salle Green Archers last Sunday.

The Far Eastern University Tamaraws are currently on top of the heap with an 8-1 card after crushing the University of the Philippines Maroons, 68-57, on Wednesday, and it’s now the Tigers’ turn to play catch up.

The Eagles, meanwhile, are looking to bounce back from a 61-66 setback to the Tamaraws when they meet the Falcons.

Kiefer Ravena, who scored with 15 points, five rebounds, and three assists, is expected to lead the Blue Eagles again.
