IF the official weigh-in of the boxers featured in the big ALA Promotions’ fight card is any indication, then fight fans will truly witness “Fists of Fury,” when three of the country ‘s most promising prospects face grizzled Mexican warriors at the University of Southeastern Philippines Gym in Davao City on Saturday.

World Boxing Organization International welterweight champion Jason “El Nino” Pagara checked in at a trim and ready 138 pounds, while his Mexican opponent Cesar “El Dolar “ Chavez came in at 139 and said he didn’t come all the way to Davao to lose.

But Pagara, who is in one of the toughest divisions in the world, aims to prove he belongs with the best in the list which includes champion Dannny Garcia.

WBO Intercontinental junior featherweight champion Genesis “Azukal” Servania, the sweet-punching, undefeated fighter from Bacolod City with a record of 25-0 behind 11 knockouts, tipped the scales at 121 pounds, while his opponent, Juan Luis “The Black Pearl” Hernandez was ripped and ready at 121 pounds. He, too, predicted he would go for a knockout .

Undefeated King Arthur Villanueva, who boasts of a record of 26-0, with 14 knockouts, has the toughest opponent of all in former world flyweight champion Julio Cesar “Pingo” Miranda, who lost his title to Brian Viloria in a terrific battle in Honolulu in 2013.
