Former senator Grace Poe paid tribute to her mother, the late film icon Susan Roces, on what would have been her 84th birthday.
Poe shared a heartfelt message on Instagram following a private memorial mass for Roces, who passed away in May 2022.

“The family gathered today to celebrate Mama’s birthday with a heartfelt memorial mass officiated by Rev. Father Allen Vic Cartagena, OSJ,” Poe wrote.
“Though she is no longer with us, her memory and love continue to bring us together. To quote Father Allen, ‘She was blessed and was a blessing to others.’”
Susan Roces, revered as the Queen of Philippine Movies, was the wife of the late action star Fernando Poe Jr., and the adoptive mother of Grace Poe.
