Seasoned director and independent filmmaker Jay Altarejos is set to release a boys love (BL) series this August taking cue from the growing demand of similar contents online.
Altarejos is known for his queer themed movies Ang Lihim Ni Antonio, Kasal, Pink Halo-Halo, and Tale Of The Lost Boys. He recently launched his online channel 2076 Online Channel that shows his latest series Balangaw and other lockdown shows.
Balangaw gets inspiration from ABS-CBN shutdown. It receives good reviews from independent movie reviewers.
“We’re creating a BL series very soon. While developing the story, we’re also thinking of the actors who can possibly play important parts. To give you an idea, it’s a story of an older man and a young. They meet again after five years,” Altarejos shared.
Altarejos added that once he begins shooting for the project, his team will comply with the authority’s strict health and social distancing protocols.
