GMA Regional TV’s local newscasts hit among viewers

Based on Nielsen Phils. Metro Cities TV Audience Measurement (MCTAM) data covering the period April 6 to 8, GMA Regional TV Balitang Amianan, GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak, and GMA Regional TV One Mindanao triumphed over their respective competition. 

From Luzon, Visayas, to Mindanao, GMA Regional TV has become the viewers' top choice in delivering local news that matters.

In North Central Luzon, GMA Regional TV Balitang Amianan posted an average people rating of 12.5 percent in MCTAM Dagupan, dominating rival program TV Patrol North Luzon, which only earned 5.9 percent.

Emerging as a champion among Bisdak in Eastern and Central Visayas, GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak won over TV Patrol Central Visayas, recording an average people rating of 12.0 percent versus competition's 10.2 percent.

GMA Regional TV’s winning streak extended to Mindanao as GMA Regional TV One Mindanao toppled competition with an average people rating of 11.3 percent versus ABS-CBN's The Tale of Nokdu, which only managed to record 6.7 percent.

Similarly, all three local Kapuso newscasts tallied winning ratings performance based on MCTAM data covering March 30 to April 3.

GMA Regional TV Balitang Amianan's 12.8 percent won against TV Patrol North Luzon; GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak's 10.6 percent was higher than TV Patrol Central Visayas, and GMA Regional TV One Mindanao's 11.1 percent was ahead of ABS-CBN's The Tale of Nokdu.

Amoroso also expressed his gratitude to the viewers and advertisers for believing in GMA Regional TV. 

“With the full support of our loyal local advertisers, partners, and viewers in the regions, we are now more than focused on moving forward despite the country’s current situation. Following the launch of our pioneering programs, more viewers have come to appreciate and love the regions and its immense potential,” he adds.

GMA Regional TV Balitang Amianan is anchored by seasoned TV journalist CJ Torida, award-winning local news correspondent Joanne Ponsoy, and news presenter Jasmin Gabriel-Galban. The newscast is available via GMA TV 10 Dagupan, GMA TV 5 Ilocos Norte, GMA TV 48 Ilocos Sur, and GMA TV 7 Abra.

Meanwhile, in Eastern and Central Visayas, tri-media personality Bobby Nalzaro, award-winning local news correspondent Alan Domingo, and news presenter Cecille Quibod-Castro bring Kapuso viewers the latest news via GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak. Viewers can watch GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak via GMA TV 7 Cebu, GMA TV 10 Tacloban, GMA TV 11 Bohol, and GMA TV 12 Ormoc.

Providing news and information to Kapusong Mindanaoans is unified local newscast GMA Regional TV One Mindanao. It is anchored by broadcast journalist Tek Ocampo, co-anchors Sarah Hilomen-Velasco and Real Sorroche. They are joined by the various local news stringers across North, Central, and Southern Mindanao. GMA Regional TV One Mindanao is available via GMA TV 5 Davao, GMA TV 35 Cagayan de Oro, GMA TV 8 General Santos City, GMA TV 12 Jolo, Sulu, GMA TV 9 Zamboanga City, GMA TV 12 Cotabato City, GMA TV 2 Tandag City, GMA TV 10 Surigao City, GMA TV 26 Butuan City, GMA TV 4 Dipolog City, GMA TV 3 Pagadian City, GMA TV 5 Ozamiz City, GMA TV 11 Iligan City, and GMA TV 12 Bukidnon.â €

And in Western Visayas, pioneering unified Hiligaynon newscast GMA Regional TV One Western Visayas is anchored by Atty. Sedfrey Cabaluna with Bacolod co-anchor and correspondent Adrian Prietos, and Iloilo co-anchor Kaitlene Rivilla. The newscast can be seen via GMA TV 6 Iloilo, GMA TV 6 Guimaras, GMA TV 13 Bacolod, GMA TV 30 Kanlandog, GMA TV 10 Sipalay, GMA TV 5 Roxas, GMA TV 2 Kalibo, and GMA TV 7 Tablas.â €
