‘Cattleya Killer’ debuts as most-watched series on Prime Video PH

ABS-CBN International Production’s gripping psychological thriller series, Cattleya Killer, featuring Arjo Atayde, has taken the Prime Video Philippines platform by storm, securing the top spot in its debut on June 1.

Following the premiere, social media platforms, particularly Twitter, were flooded with enthusiastic reactions from viewers who couldn’t contain their praise for Cattleya Killer and its remarkable production value.

Arjo Atayde, portraying the character of Anton dela Rosa, a police officer, shared his excitement for the highly anticipated premiere in an interview with TV Patrol. He mentioned, “This was made more than a year ago, so definitely we are excited as everyone.”

Ria Atayde, who portrays a journalist entangled in the case, expressed her delight at the series’ release, saying, “I feel giddy that it’s finally showing since we’ve waited for this moment for so long. I’m also so excited. I’m eager to know what people think.”

Jane Oineza, in the role of Tina Galvez, an agent from PIB responsible for the Cattleya Killer case, eagerly anticipated watching the series premiere on Prime Video.

Cattleya Killer is a six-episode series adapted from the acclaimed 1996 Star Cinema film, Sa Aking Mga Kamay. The story follows the discovery of a young woman’s body with a Cattleya flower, the signature style of the notorious ‘Cattleya Killer’ in Manila. As the police force struggles to solve the perplexing case, agent Anton dela Rosa (Arjo), the son of Joven Dela Rosa (Christopher de Leon) who had previously cracked the case three decades ago, becomes the primary suspect.

In addition to Arjo, Cattleya Killer features a star-studded cast, including Zsa Zsa Padilla, Jake Cuenca, Ricky Davao, Nonie Buencamino, Ketchup Eusebio, Jojit Lorenzo, Rafa Siguion-Reyna, Frances Makil-Ignacio, and Lito Pimentel, to name a few.
