Netflix has recently revealed the official first look of the much-awaited Enola Holmes sequel. Hollywood stars Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill reprise their roles in the upcoming film.
According to a press statement, Enola Holmes (Millie) decides to follow in the footsteps of her famous brother, Sherlock (Henry), as she establishes her agency. However, she soon discovers that life as a female detective-for-hire isn’t as easy as it seems.
Forced to accept the realities of adulthood, Enola encounters a penniless matchstick girl who offers her first official job in finding her missing sister. The task, which proves to be more puzzling than expected, threw her into a dangerous new world – from London’s sinister factories and colorful music halls to the highest echelons of society and 221B Baker Street.
As the sparks of a deadly conspiracy ignite, Enola must call upon the help of friends and her brother, Sherlock, to unravel her mystery. The game, it seems, has found its feet again.
Alongside Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill, David Thewlis and Louis Partridge will all return in the upcoming sequel together with Susan Wokoma, Adeel Akhtar, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, and Helena Bonham Carter.
Enola Holmes 2 draws inspiration from the young-adult novel series, The Enola Holmes Mysteries by Nancy Springer. The film is directed by Harry Bradbeer, with a screenplay by Jack Thorne and a story by Harry Bradbeer and Jack Thorne.
The mystery film sequel will premiere on Netflix starting November 4.
