After making its rounds in different countries, the world’s most popular reality dating show has finally made its way to Japan.

One of Japan's eligible bachelors Hirotake Kubo in the latest season of dating series, 'The Bachelor.'

The Bachelor Japan, featuring the country’s first bachelor, Hirotake Kubo, premieres tomorrow (Sept. 19)  at 09:00 p.m. on TLC.

In the first season, Hirotake, a graduate of Tokyo University’s business master’s program, meets 25 hopeful young women, his romantic interests, who are all vying for his affection.

The hopefuls are each given the chance to meet and spend time with the bachelor—from group dates at a robot restaurant to more intimate one-on-one experiences—in the hopes of making that connection that would lead to eternal love. As commonly seen in the show, however, dating does not always end as planned. With the show’s elimination format, the girls end up being sent home one by one until only one remains.
