AXN, the flagship English general entertainment (GE) channel of Sony Pictures Television (SPT) Networks, Asia once again had audiences across the country riveted, coveting the no. 1 spot as the country’s top English GE channel for the last 12 months.
AXN ended 2017 claiming a 21 percent primetime share among 20 English GE channels, cementing its position as the dominant leader in the English GE category.
The channel also retained the top spot in its category in the opening quarter of this year with an even bigger dominance within the English GE space.

To maintain its leadership throughout 2018, AXN will unveil a programming lineup that includes some of the most highly anticipated and popular new and returning drama series and reality shows.
The first two on the schedule are two of the world’s most iconic entertainment reality series: Britain’s Got Talent and America’s Got Talent. SPT Networks, Asia recently announced a multi-year licensing agreement with FremantleMedia International to acquire the two reality giants, and together with Asia’s Got Talent, they make a perfect trifecta for fans of talent competitions.
