After making a milestone in the pageant history as Philippines’ first-ever Reina Hispanoamericana, Teresita Ssen ‘Winwyn’ Marquez went to her home Network on Nov. 17 for a courtesy call to GMA executives.

Network’s executives led by GMA Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, GMA President and COO Gilberto R. Duavit, Jr. and GMA Board Director Joel G. Jimenez welcomed la reina warmly.

Atty. Gozon extended his congratulations to the international beauty queen who is also a homegrown talent of GMA, “We are really very proud of Winwyn, this proves once again na nandito sa Pilipinas ang magagandang mga binibini.”

Meanwhile, Duavit thanked Winwyn for bringing pride not just to the Kapuso community but also to fellow countrymen. “Bukod sa karangalan nating lahat ay karangalan din ng buong bayan ang pagkapanalo ni Winwyn. We’re very, very proud sa kanyang pagiging Kapuso at sa karangalan na dinala niya sa bansa natin. Congratulations again and thank you for the pride you bring to all of us,” he shares.

Winwyn, in return, expressed her gratitude for the unconditional love and support she receives from her home Network. “Hindi ko inakala na ganun yung attention na ibibigay nila sa akin so I am really thankful. Dito ako na-hone, dito lumabas yung talent ko. Dito ko nakita yung kaya kong gawin—acting, dancing, and I am really grateful for GMA kasi kung hindi ako dito nag-start, wala akong confidence mag-perform sa Reina Hispanoamericana which is an essential part of the pageant na kailangan magaling ka magperform and hindi ka nahihiya. With that, thankful ako sa GMA kasi sa kanila ako galing and dito ko natutunan yung mga bagay na ‘yon.”
