GMA Music introduces a fresh and hip sublabel that aims to change the local music landscape while at the same time discover new artists who can be the next faces of OPM on the global scene.
Called GMA Playlist, the sublabel also aims to capture the hearts of the millennials and GEN Z fans craving for relevant yet different sound and provides a collaborative venue for artists to authentically showcase their songs and musicality.
“With GMA Playlist, we are giving the artists the freedom to collaborate with the composers. It’s a meeting of the minds, so to speak. The collab is more like, we like your voice, what do you want to sing? We’ll work on that,” an executive from GMA Playlist told Manila Standard Entertainment.
“One of the main goals of the network is for our music to be global. We just need the right time and place for these artists to be launched,” the executive added.
Last week, Mikee Quintos, Arra San Agustin, Anthony Rosaldo, Crystal Paras, Denise Barbacena, Faith Da Silva, Jeniffer Maravilla, Kaloy Tingcungco, Kim De Leon, Lexi Gonzales, Shayne Sava, Mark Herras, and Seb Pajarillo were introduced as part of the lineup of artists signed under GMA Playlist.
Present during the contract signing were GMA officers and top executives including Felipe S. Yalong, Regie C. Bautista, Darling De Jesus-Bodegon, Paul Hendrik P. Ticzon, Rafael L. San Agustin, Gigi Santiago-Lara, Simoun Ferrer, Jojo Aquio, Vincent C. Gealogo, and Racquel S. Gacho, and GMA Artist Center senior talent managers Tracy Garcia, Joy Marcelo, and Daryl Zamora.
GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon was pleased to welcome another venue for the Kapuso stars to show their talents.
