Louis Tomlinson recently dropped his single “Bigger Than Me” as the lead track of his upcoming album, Faith In The Future.

On Thursday, September 1, Tomlinson initially revealed the new single just a day before it was released. Earlier that day, he announced that his newly announced 14-track list album, Faith In the Future, be released on November 11.

The former boy band member rejoices in his “coming of age” through his album. “So excited for you all to hear this!” he captioned in his Instagram post.

“Bigger Than Me,”a song about change and self-doubt, is one of many tracks on Faith in the Future meant to translate well into live content performances.

“I realized from doing those live shows [and] what it means to my fans and how everything I do, is bigger than me,” Tomlinson said. “It’s almost a coming of age for myself and putting opinions about myself to the back of my mind and thinking about what it potentially means for other people.”

The Music’s Rob Harvey and the songwriting production team Red Triangle worked together to co-produce the song with Tomlinson. Mike Crossey, a producer whose prior credits include working with artists such as Arctic Monkeys, The 1975, and Wolf Alice, is behind the upcoming second album.

Since Tomlinson’s 2020 solo artist debut – Walls, which landed in 9th place on the Billboard 200, “Bigger Than Me” is the first new song to be released.
