After the successful staging of Bamboo and Arnel Pineda’s First Light, the first live concert tour in the United States bannered by Filipino music artists, Spotlight Media Entertainment is gearing up for another big-ticket event featuring OPM singers Morissette Amon, Christian Bautista, and Erik Santos.

Entitled Threelogy, the live show will be held at the City National Grove of Anaheim in Anaheim, California on April 1.

“This concert will feature cover and original OPM songs popularized by these artists. So, I’m sure Filipinos in the US will enjoy our show,” said concert producer Pen De Leon Manahan of Spotlight Media during a virtual press conference with the entertainment media over the weekend.

Manahan also announced that concertgoers who bought tickets to Mad About Love, a concert that Morisette and Sam Concepcion were supposed to headline in March but was canceled, will be able to use them at Threelogy show.

“Morissette’s team failed to secure a visa for everyone in their team so the concert was canceled. I decided to get the show from the producer of Mad About Love and replaced it with Threelogy. And since Morissette is still part of the show, we decided to let the ticket holders of the canceled concert use their tickets in the upcoming show,” Manahan explained.

“I felt sad that Mad About Love didn’t push through but we’re happy that we’re offering something bigger,” the concert producer added.

Asked if she’s willing to produce concerts featuring up-and-coming OPM artists, Manahan said that her company produces shows based on the feedback they get from the Filipino community.

“You can’t just stage a concert for artists that you personally like. There should be a clamor from the people who will watch the show. At the end of the day, producing concerts is still a business,” she said.

But if Manahan would personally produce a concert featuring a new artist, she wants to have rising OPM singer Gigi de Lana headline the show.

“I always watch her performances on YouTube and I’m quite impressed. But in the meantime, I’d like to focus on Morissette, Christian, and Erik who are equally impressive, too,” Manahan ended.
